Work you'll do
Consultants in Deloitte's M&A/R offering portfolio serve as trusted advisors to corporate and private equity clients. They synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
- Consultants function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions.
- Consultants gain exposure to multiple industries while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by Deloitte Consulting LLP.
- Consultants perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels.
- Consultants will assist in proposal development, as requested.
The team
The Management Office Team focuses on those activities of program management that are key to seamless transitions, superior outcomes, and delivering value in an integration or divestiture. The scope of the work may include:
- Identifying Integration, Divestiture or Restructuring/Transformation strategies.
- Close, Day 1 and End-State requirements.
- Development of workplans and milestones.
- Identification of functional interdependencies.
- Facilitating cutover planning.
- Testing and execution.
- New operating model analysis.
- Functional and end-to-end process analysis and alignment.
- Identifying operational program insights, analytics and assessments.
M&A/R Management Office Professionals advise and interact with senior client leadership. They are provided exposure to and the ability to develop a broad base of experience across all functional / business area aspects of a company giving the opportunity to focus in a functional / business domain area over time. Practitioners in M&A/R Management Office develop experience leading and delivering complex, multi-faceted, domestic and global programs. They also develop expertise in market-leading M&A digital delivery software applications and toolsets.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be active-duty military; eligible and approved for Do D Skills Bridge Program
Preferred:
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS Power Point).
- Strong analysis skills (Excel required with other analytics capabilities preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments in a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
- An advanced degree.
