Essential Job Functions
The following are a few of the job functions for an LPN at Quail Ridge Senior Living:
· Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe same implementation of basic preventative therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing of residents as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes
· Administer medication (as needed), accurately, observing patient response, as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes
· Responsible for charting antibiotics, meds, new orders, change of condition, etc.
· Follow up with meds, labs, new orders from one shift to another
· Accurately documents resident charts as required
· Work collaboratively with other members of the Wellness team in coordination of the resident’s care as evidence by other departments feedback
· Use available written and AV materials specific to resident condition of disease. Utilize appropriate teaching methods such as one-on-one and group instruction, demonstration or discussion
· Supervises CMAs, CMAs, and ACMAs as requested by the Director of Nursing
· Responsible for new admissions, vital signs, height, weight, Braden Scale, skin assess, fall risk, elopement, slum examination, Oklahoma assessment, admission notes, etc.
· Follow Quail Ridge uniform policy during shift, including walkie talkies, name badge, and clinic phone
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties assigned
Education
· Graduated from an accredit school of nursing
Required
· At least two years of experience as a Practical Nurse within similar settings
· Valid Practical Nurse License without discipline from Oklahoma Board of Nursing
· Valid Frist AID and CPR certifications
Physical Requirements
· Resident environment
· Moderate noise level
· Exposure to hazardous, medical and uncommon office material
· Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms and hands
· Be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
