ACES Mill Road School seeks a dedicated and skilled Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher. This role requires a passionate educator who is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that addresses the unique needs of students with diverse behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong behavioral management skills and demonstrate a collaborative approach to supporting student growth and academic achievement. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with a focus on behavioral support strategies.
Employ evidence-based practices to support and improve student behavior, engagement, and social-emotional skills.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsto enhance the therapeutic environment of the school.
Collect and analyze data to assess and adjust educational and behavioral interventions as needed.
Provide direct instruction in alignment with students' IEP goals, adapting content to meet diverse learning needs.
Communicate regularly with families, administrators, and support staff to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification in Special Education and/or DSAP eligible.
Demonstrated experience in behavior support or intervention in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of behavior support methodologies, positive behavioral interventions, and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
