Live - In Horse Barn/Farm Caretaker

Horse boarding and breeding facility is looking for a barn and farm maintenance worker. General day to day barn chores plus some farm maintenance. We are not a show barn. Boarders are happy, respectful, polite people who ride for pleasure and don't take themselves too seriously.
We are looking for an experienced mature person who can turn their hand to just about anything. Someone who can see at gate needs fixing and get on a fix it. A self starter who can see when something needs doing and operate with minimal supervision. Additionally someone experienced enough to be able to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
Day-to-day boarding facility chores come first. These are: feeding ; turning horses out; mucking stalls; bringing horses in. These chores take place in the morning. In the afternoon you will be charge of the facility maintenance including landscaping and minor farm repairs. Horse experience a plus but not required as this can be taught. The most important thing is attitude and being someone who loves outdoor farm work and takes pride in helping us improve the facility. If you are an indoors person this position is not for you. You need to like being outside and like being busy.
Facility Jobs change seasonally. Snow removal in the winter. Irrigation management in the spring. General landscaping work such a mowing and weed-whacking in the summer. Autumn there is more time for farm improvement projects. We would like to find someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys making improvements. Welding experience a plus. Tractor experience a plus.

This is a live-in, salaried position. 6 days a week. Day off is on a weekday
Accommodation is a private room in a shared house with one other housemate. Occupants are expected to be tidy and respectful of one another. Rent and bills included as part of your compensation and salary in addition.
