As an underwriter for Progressive Life, you’ll support the continuous development of the Progressive Life Insurance product, a term life insurance provider whose vision is to make the process of purchasing life insurance easy and accessible (learn more at progressivelife.com). In this role, you'll collaborate with the Underwriting team on underwriting rules and manuals for our current and future life insurance products. Additionally, you'll assist with refining existing rules and manuals, introduce, and implement new data sources, and create monitoring methodologies and processes.

Must-have qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of five years underwriting experience with a direct US life insurance company or a US life reinsurance company
- {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of two years underwriting experience with a direct US life insurance company or a US life reinsurance company
Preferred skills
- Demonstrated experience bringing new products or businesses to market
- Ability to review medical records and make accurate underwriting assessments by applying appropriate guidelines
- Knowledge of Underwriting systems and workflows
- Medical knowledge and basic understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of underwriting rules engines and rules management
Compensation
- $65,000 - $90,000/year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
