Laundry Attendant

The Meadows at East Mountain are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The shift hours are flexible and are Monday through Friday and every other weekend. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests and maintaining the overall quality of our hotel environment.
Responsibilities

Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines to launder and dry clean items.
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and garments according to established procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering; treat stains as necessary.
Keep accurate records of laundry processed and report any issues or equipment malfunctions to management.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items to guest rooms and common areas.

Skills

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify stains and damage on fabrics.
Knowledge of laundering techniques including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
Ability to operate various laundry machines efficiently and safely.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments within the hotel.
Previous experience in a hotel or similar setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
