In this role, the individual will learn the skills in field surveying work such as mine
related work, ALTA, topographic, boundary, construction stakeout, horizontal/vertical
control, utility as-builts, and GPS. The individual we are seeking is an energetic,
adaptable, and solution-oriented person. This individual will be able to follow
instructions but also be able to think independently. Candidates must have a great
attitude and desire to learn Land Surveying. Experience not required but
recommended. Pay scales on previous experience. Must be able to pass drug
screening and have a valid drivers license.
Roles and Responsibilities
Place sight rods, targets, and tri-pod reflectors on survey points
Drive stakes and markers and assist in placement of monuments
Dig for buried monuments and markers
Use hand tools such as sledge, axe, chainsaw, shovel, etc.
Clear brush for view
Carry and use level rod, range pole, sighting pole and prism for obtaining required
survey data
Traverse rugged terrain, fences, bluffs, brush and timber, creeks and streams, etc.
Carry signposts, reinforcing bars and other materials
Train in the operation of survey instruments, automated electronic data collection,
calculators, and GPS equipment (preferred). Work Remotely
