Kennel Assistant
Sacramento Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited, privately owned, established small animal hospital serving the beautiful community of East Sacramento and surrounding areas since the 1940's. Our focus is providing top notch services to our clients through gold standard veterinary options and clear communication, while emphasizing low stress handling of our patients and creating an inviting environment for our team and our clients.
For our Kennel Assistant position, we are looking for someone with:
Open work availability, good attention to detail, ability to multitask and take direction well. Enthusiasm and motivation to grow within the practice. Ability to work independantly in a fast-paced environment with a strong team mindset. Must enjoy working with dogs, cats and people. Previous experience working at a veterinary practice is recommended, but not required but you should be interested in the veterinary profession as a long term career.
Job duties include: cleaning cages and runs, managing the laundry, washing windows, cleaning exam rooms and treatment area, restocking supplies, and keeping the outside perimeter clean and litter free. There is minimal to no animal handling involved when first hired, but there is potential to expand on those duties down the line.
