Mission Contribution:



To help drive Memphis Goodwill (MGI), Memphis Goodwill Industries, Inc. (MGII) and the Goodwill Excel Center (GEC) providing relevant data, maintaining state of the art information systems and leading organizational compliance to optimize the organization's ability to fulfill its mission.



Function:



Under the supervision of the Director of IT; manages MGI, MGII and assist as needed with GECM information technology system alignments, along with the development, and implementation of technology solutions. Assists in the development and activities of technology business continuity and disaster recovery mitigation and strategies. The IT Manager ensures that the right information is provided to the right team members daily while leading the quality of customer satisfaction and service objectives as directed.



Essential Responsibilities:


  • Manages day-to-day workflows including the Information Services and Technology “IS/IT” project management process.
  • Management of technology systems alignment strategies to meet planned objectives that improve organizational capabilities.
  • Maintains the stewardship and business alignment of all MGI, MGII and GECM owned and vendor leased hardware, software, and other information system assets.
  • Coordinates hardware, software implementation, and IT technology onboarding strategies.
  • Maintains constructive and positive relationships with business partners and technology vendors.
  • Manages the procurement of computer hardware and peripherals to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability for growth.
  • Management of cloud computing and vendor relationships to ensure organization receives the agreed-upon service necessary to support the organization’s information systems infrastructure.
  • Maintenance and continued evolution/improvement of the information technology platform.
  • Manages the collection, processing, and ease of distribution of all relevant information data streams of the organization.
  • Adheres to the security policies and backup procedures to protect the integrity of organization’s.
  • Regularly assesses Payment Card Industry (PCI) and other related technology compliance, security policies, and backup procedures to protect the integrity of organization’s information assets.
  • Manages IT technician team to ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA) and that the quality of services are met within the department and organization’s Core Values and Guiding Principles standards.
  • Provides support of hardware and applications via desk-side, phone, email, IM, or other means.
  • Escalates unresolved issues in accordance with the internal IS SLA and owns case to resolution.
  • Escalates issues to leadership or outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Attend in service and related training as assigned by team leader.
  • Maintain a sense of decorum, exercise discretion, and assure confidentiality in discussing and presenting sensitive information (inclusive of payroll and all financial matters).
  • Other duties as assigned by team leader.


Qualifications:


  • Successful experience creating a broad, enterprise-wide information/technology program for an organization, including strategy, processes and capabilities.
  • Strong people management and leadership capabilities, including demonstrated experience attracting, motivating and retaining high performing teams, as well as experience managing remote teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially with respect to articulating highly technical concepts to both more sophisticated and less technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of risk management and controls in a public company environment.
  • Successfully leverage and drive technology innovation opportunities while demonstrating sound operational discipline, judgment, and decision-making.
  • Ensures and maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding organizational and sensitive personal data.


Training & Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, preferred.
  • Following certifications are preferred:
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Comp TIA IT Project+, Comp TIA Network+ Certification, and/or Certified Technology Manager(CTM), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), COBIT 5 Foundation Certification, Comp TIA Project+, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Six Sigma Certification and/or TOGAF 9 Certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years successful experience leading IS/IT function, including business process improvement, technology management or information management.


Special Requirements:


  • Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends.
  • Must be able to present and lead instructor led training to a group of people at a time.
  • Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout territory to visit locations.
  • Ability to bend, reach and stand, and lift up to twenty-five pounds on an occasional basis.
