IT Generalist Sonic Systems International is currently accepting applications for a IT Support Specialist to support nuclear outages. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for the setup and support of a custom data system deployed on-site. This role includes managing various components such as communication systems, VOIP phones, and mobile communication units. Additionally, the IT Technicians will provide support for video encoding hardware and software, encompassing desktop support, hardware maintenance, network troubleshooting, and software upkeep. The position requires the applicant to coordinate with other support teams to resolve issues and manage the reporting of the application's status during operations.
Pay for IT Generalist: Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 an hour
Required experience for IT Generalist:
At least 1 years working experience within the information technology field.
Networking experience is a plus.
Experience with virtual server or VMWare is a plus.
Experience with Active Directory Administration is a plus.
2nd Tier Desk Top Support is a plus.
1st Tier Desk Top support must have 1 year of experience.
Clean background with no outstanding/pending legal charges.
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test at time of hire and random.
Valid Driver’s License
Non-US Citizen must hold current work visa or green card.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Recommended certifications:
Microsoft MCP or MCSE
CISCO CCCNT or CCNA
Comp Tia A+

Work environment for IT Generalist: Technicians will perform the following duties:
Answer, evaluate and prioritize requests for assistance from staff experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other IT related issues.
Escalate complex issues to Level 2 support providing a detailed report of steps taken.
Install software packages and maintain system configuration management to provide a consistent user experience to end users.
Troubleshoot networks, internal processes, computer issues, camera feeds and any other technology used by Field Services products.
Maintain records of work in progress and completed jobs.
Maintain a moderate level of proficiency in software and applications supported by IT.
Assist in miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Required to lift up to 50 pounds in support of hardware installations.
Able to work in radiation control areas.
