Overview
We are looking for a IT Field Technician to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the IT Field Supervisor and IT Project Coordinator, the IT Field Technician maintains clients' computing and overall technical environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance, and resolving issues as they arise. This role assists the Kintegra Health IT Field Supervisor in deploying hardware solutions across the organization. This includes (but is not limited) addressing end-user needs related network cabling, POTS lines, printers, scanners, copiers, telephones and credit card machines. The technician will also provide a minimal degree of desktop support and will travel between several Kintegra Health sites, including but not limited to Charlotte, Concord, and Kannapolis.
Candidate qualifications and Performance Requirements:
1. Professional acumen with all users
2. Knowledge of and experience with Windows and Citrix Environments, routers and switches
3. Ability to troubleshoot end-user issues while working with the Service Desk
4. Ability to provide end-user training
5. Network Hardware/Software Configuration
6. Experience with Remote control, Logmein, command-line utilities
7. Knowledge of Remote Access (VPN, Remote Desktop Connection, Terminal Server)
8. Various Software Installations
9. Battery Backups
10. Video conferencing and security systems
11. Computer Hardware Installation/Replacement
12. Network cabling
Education: Associates degree in Information Technology or IT certifications
Experience Required: 2+ years’ work experience preferred

Key Responsibilities
1. Support medical, behavior health and dental offices within a hour service radius. Locations also include county buildings, industrial sites, schools and mobile units.
2. Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures.
3. Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating network and application problems to vendor.
4.Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
5. Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.
6. Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
7. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
8. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
9. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
10. Assist with occasional after-hour projects may be required.
