Inventory Clerk
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Work Location: Clear Lake, SD

Job Summary: This role is responsible for all material movements and transactions as well as assisting in all activities related to prepping and shipping goods from the facility. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for ensuring employees have the supplies, raw materials or products necessary for optimal business operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Pulls and delivers kits for Production and stock requisitions.
2. Conducts cycle counts and/or audits of transactions at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, Materials Manager and/or Finance.
3. Coordinates movement of inbound freight.
4. Drives company vehicle and operates forklift as needed.
5. Coordinates inventory movements out of inspection and into warehouse locations.
6. Prepares goods for pick up at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
7. Conducts verification of inventory as required.
8. May perform material transactions, audits, and corrections in XRM system.
9. Completes daily forklift inspections.
10. Performs all other work related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).
2. Must be at least 18 years of age to work at this facility.
3. Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.
4. High School graduate or GED.
5. Working computer knowledge is required.
6. Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.
7. Ability to work effectively with other employees as part of a team.
8. Ability to provide positive customer service to both internal and external parties.
9. Ability to multi-task in support of end-result/goal.
10. Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail capability.
11. Ability to set and establish priorities.
12. Must obtain forklift certification within three (3) months of hire.
13. Must obtain and maintain South Dakota driver’s license to operate company vehicles upon hire.

While performing the duties of this job:
1. Ability to talk and hear in order to communicate with others.

4. Frequently required to stand and/or walk both indoors and outdoors for the majority of the shift.
5. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel as well as reach with hands and arms.
6. Lifting of 10 pounds is required. Must be able to move materials by lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds and the ability to lift and/or move materials greater than 50 pounds with assistance.
7. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus when viewing a computer monitor.
8. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives.
9. Ear protection is required as identified throughout the facility.
10. Where required employees must wear a minimum of 50 percent cotton clothing including undergarments to mitigate electrostatic discharge (ESD). Employees must also wear company issued safety footwear.
11. Exposure to heat, and cold temperatures as some work is performed outside.
