Job Description: We are seeking an Experienced i Bwave Designer to join our team and play a critical role in designing and optimizing in-building wireless solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in i Bwave design software, RF engineering principles, and hands-on experience with the designing Off-Air BDA Systems and/or Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems (ERRCS). This position requires excellent attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to deliver high-quality designs that meet client and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Network Design: Create detailed in-building wireless network designs using i Bwave, focusing on Off-Air BDA Systems and ERRCS.
Documentation: Prepare and manage comprehensive design documentation, including heatmaps, floor plans, and bill of materials (BOM).
Collaboration: Work closely with RF Engineers, Project Managers, and construction teams to ensure designs meet project goals and deadlines.
Optimization: Perform RF simulations and analysis to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with client and industry standards.
Standards Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and regulatory requirements, particularly for public safety communications.
Site Surveys: Interpret RF surveys and site walks to gather data for design accuracy.
Project Updates: Provide design status updates, resolve technical challenges, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with i Bwave design software.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of RF principles, propagation modeling, and in-building wireless technologies.
Tools: Proficiency in i Bwave, Auto CAD, and other relevant design tools.
Certifications: i Bwave Level 2 or higher certification preferred.
Attention to Detail: Ability to deliver accurate, high-quality designs within tight deadlines.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address design challenges.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with public safety ERRCS design.
Familiarity with coaxial and fiber cable routing and installation practices.
Knowledge of testing and commissioning processes for Off-Air BDA Systems and ERRCS.
