Education:Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
Skills:General knowledge of HR processes and laws preferred. A thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics and a discerning approach to the sensitive and confidential nature of all matters related to the business of the ministry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and discretion in handling confidential matters, and ability to use sound judgment. Excellent organization and time management skills are a must. Prefer knowledge of database systems, administration, proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
In the HR Assistant position, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Administration:
Maintain employee HR files and databases, including the following:
Gi ANT
Staff degrees
EID
Right Now Media
HR Datto folder updates
Org Chart
In-service tracking
CPR certifications
Annual staff signatures spreadsheet
Upload applicable electronic documents for personnel files (onboarding, offboarding, status changes, licensing)
DCS Licensing Audit
Create new in-service folders and shells in Paycom each new year
Maintain DCS licensing spreadsheets
Compile all required information and documents
Run MVR report through Paycom
Send quarterly updates of in-service hours and CPR certifications to the Director of Corporate Programs, Administrative Assistant, and HR Director for Nashville Home Staff
Performance Evaluations
Administer signature requirements, checklists and documents for 90-day evaluations, annual evaluations, and 90-day extensions when applicable
Check in, send outs, reminders and extensions on a weekly basis
Outstanding signatures check in, send outs, and reminders on a weekly basis
Review and inform Director of Human Resources of pertinent information related to 90-day evaluations and/or 90-day extensions
Assist in job description edits and updates as directed
Process employee name changes after required documents are received
Initiate IT updates for onboarding, offboarding, and status changes
Update HR IT spreadsheet
Ensure communication of terms/status changes/new hires to all IT sources
Recruitment Assistance:
Schedule and conduct preliminary phone interviews as requested
Assist with scheduling follow-up interviews as needed
Inform Executive Office of new hires for weekly praise report email
Review new hire surveys/exit surveys and send to supervisor and Director of HR
Maintain prayer room updates
Send employee goodwill communication
Monthly birthday congratulatory emails
Monthly birthday all-staff announcements
Monthly years of service congratulatory email
Weekly out-of-office communication
Conduct annual employee MVR reports and report results
Send staff birthday announcements on a monthly basis
Send employee goodwill communication
Birthday/congratulatory/sympathy cards
Weekly out-of-office communication
Create and distribute employee milestone certificates to managers
Prepare service award certificate
Communicate with payroll when monetary amounts are earned
General Assistance
Manage corporate library
Backup to reception
Backup to mailroom
Backup to payroll
Assist with event preparation, attendance (when necessary) and reconciliations
Provide on-going HRIS education as needed to staff
Assist in creating signature templates for Docu Sign or HRIS
Assist with other duties and assignments as assigned
Employee Administration Assistance
Assist with status changes, onboarding and off-boarding process within HR platform

These residential services are offered free-of-charge. The Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling is Mercys free-of-charge Outpatient counseling Program for men and women aged 13 and older. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.
