The Housing Multnomah Now (HMN) Housing program works individually with adult households experiencing homelessness. Clients experiencing homelessness are put into housing and are case managed to have a safe and stable home.
Position Summary
Employee oversees reaching out to landlord daily to get them on board with low criteria program to enable clients to participate. Landlord recruitment will work with another agency to update them of landlord reach outs. The landlord recruitment specialist will attend weekly meetings, provide updates, and support get landlords on board with the program.
Essential Functions
Access to available units with reduced screening criteria
Participants support during housing search and lease up.
Weekly team meetings
Reaching out to landlords daily (in person, by phone and email)
Maintaining case files
Entering data into Multnomah County’s Service Point data system
Entering data into IRCO ETO data system
Secondary Functions
Ability to meet multiple, including conflicting deadlines
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the availability of clients
Requirements:
Education & Experience MINIMUM JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School or GED or some College (2) + combination of relevant experience
1-2 years of experience is required (3)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the ability to function in a positive manner in a demanding work environment.
Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, to respond to priorities and schedules that change frequently to meet commitments.
Strong ability to multi-task and meet multiple, sometimes conflicting deadlines
Detailed oriented with excellent organizational and grammar skills
Analytical and decision-making abilities
Utilize a personal computer, read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen
