JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for set-up, maintenance, and cleanup of complimentary breakfast. Maintaining compliance with individual brand standards in regards to offerings, operations, and record keeping. REPORTS TO: WORK ENVIRONMENT: Prep kitchen and public breakfast area. Job involves working:
Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).

KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Engineering, housekeeping, front desk and other hotel staff. External: Hotel guests and visitors, vendors/suppliers, and outside contractors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Receive daily work assignments from the supervisor and review priorities and special projects.
Organize materials, tools, and equipment to perform daily assignments.
Set up and maintain all food and beverage items during the complimentary breakfast, ensuring proper amounts and temperatures.
Bus tables during food service times striving to keep all free tables ready for guest use.
Interact with guest to make sure breakfast experience is satisfactory.
Refill Condiments and supplies upon completion of shift.
Clean any spills immediately. Maintain a well presented buffet line.
Keep coffee urns full.
Ensure kitchen is clean throughout the shift and ready for the next day upon completion of shift.
Wash dishes as required
Notify supervisor of any problems that occur at breakfast.
Courteously accommodate special requests of guest and be prepared to answer guest questions regarding the hotel and local area facilities and services.
Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces.
Ensure security of any assigned keys.
Know and follow hotel emergency procedures.
Prepare food orders as directed by supervisor.
Practice safe work habits, particularly with regards to lifting techniques, slip hazards, and wet floors.
Carry out any responsible request by Management.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist with any special projects assigned.
Attend designated department and staff meetings.
Recommend energy saving ideas.
Recommend safety ideas; participates in fire prevention and other life safety programs.
Wipe down walls, clean, vacuum and mop as needed.
