Head Chef

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our Chinese culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity in menu development, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in enhancing our dining experience while managing a team of skilled cooks and kitchen staff.

Duties
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory control, ensuring that all food supplies are ordered, stored, and utilized efficiently.
  • Lead and mentor the culinary team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Coordinate banquet services and special events, ensuring exceptional food quality and service.
  • Monitor food costs and waste management to maintain profitability without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs of guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques, food management practices, and culinary trends.
  • Demonstrated ability in team management and shift management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Experience in banquet preparation and execution is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences through innovative cuisine.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,828.00 - $120,686.00 per year
Shift:
  • 10 hour shift
  • Evening shift
Supplemental Pay:
  • Bonus opportunities
