All Faiths Children’s Advocacy Center (AFCAC) is currently seeking a Forensic Interviewer to join our team and help children and families thrive! AFCAC is the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Albuquerque, working as trusted advocates for children and families affected by trauma.

Required:
  • Undergraduate degree in a field related to social sciences, education, criminal justice, nursing, psychology, etc.
  • Minimum of one year working with children.
What will I do as the Forensic Interviewer with All Faith’s?
  • Conduct and observe forensic interviews of child victims and witnesses in a manner that meets legal requirements of the investigation agencies and child protection needs.
  • Facilitate pre and post-interview case staffing with multi-disciplinary team members working the investigation.
  • Oversee intake and scheduling functions on a daily basis relative to emergencies and prioritizations.
  • Responsible for implementing quality assurance standards for intake and interviewing.
  • Assist in training new interviewers to insure that services and completed with satisfaction to meet the needs of the case team, as well as the developmental and emotional needs of the child.
  • Assist with ongoing review and revision of program practices and procedures.
  • Develop and conduct presentations for professionals at local, regional and national levels.
  • Participate in monthly case reviews with larger MDT in multiple counties as well as participate in peer review on a regular basis.
  • Complete case files, statistical and case-tracking paperwork.
  • Respond to subpoenas and testify when orders to do so by the court.
  • Maintain awareness of current techniques, controversies and research affecting the field of forensic interviewing.
  • Participate in on-going cross-disciplinary education and training.
  • Act as a team leader when assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What makes All Faith’s unique?
At All Faith’s Children’s Advocacy Center, we work in a variety of mediums for the treatment of families, children and their caregivers who are struggling due to issues of divorce, homelessness, child abuse/neglect, family violence or other crises.
The Children’s Safehouse provides age-appropriate, legally defensible forensic interviews for children 2-18 years of age and developmentally disabled adults who have been the alleged victim of sexual or physical abuse, or who have witnessed a violent crime. Family advocates work closely with the alleged victim’s guardian to ensure that they are provided resources and follow-up care, such as medical attention, and therapy.
All Faiths Adoption Services works to help children find permanent, loving, and safe homes within a family. We work with birth families to provide comprehensive pregnancy options counseling and with prospective adoptive families for adoptions within New Mexico and between states.
The New Mexico FIESTA Project focuses on creating a support system for adoptive families through networking events, trainings, and connections to resources.
The Home Study Program contracts with the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department (CYFD) to provide detailed assessments and recommendations for licensure for both prospective foster families and CYFD adoptive families throughout the state of New Mexico.

  • Able to demonstrate positive leadership and encouraging attitude contributing to staff development and morale.
  • Excellent command of technical and qualitative knowledge of child abuse investigation issue and dynamics.
  • Computer literacy
  • Valid divers license
  • Ability to drive for work related tasks as required by your supervisor.
