Floral Designer/Set-up

Description:

Willow & Thistle/Normandy Farm Hotel is seeking an experienced & talented Floral Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have an eye for detail and create elegant designs that meet our high standards. The successful applicant will be passionate about creating arrangements for our customers, enjoy working as part of a team and have regular communication with our management team. 3 years’ experience working in a professional floral shop/studio.
This is a part-time position 20-25 hours per week to include weekends
Responsibilities:

Design/Arrange flowers for the hotel, weddings, and other social events
Maintain overall appearance of the department, ensuring proper design and freshness of flowers
Assist with set up for events to include but not limited to filing vases, dropping centerpieces, setting up florals and decorations
Deliver floral arrangements in our company van typically within a 10-mile radius.
Enjoy the interaction with customers.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old.
Three years’ experience in floral design
Familiar with current wedding and special event design trends
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Understand the vision of our clients & make it a reality
Understand pricing and maintain a budget
Can work independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Passionate, with strong customer service skills
Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays, if needed
Regular and predictable attendance
Always arrives punctually with a neat & professional appearance
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
Able to lift to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance
