Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $19 - $19 / hour This range is a goodfaith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

What you'll be doing as a Firewatcher:

• Monitor for fire hazards while other employees are working
• Follow the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room
• In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or activate the fire alarm and notify the plant control room
• Ensure you and other employees know the location of fire-fighting equipment
• Maintain constant communication and keep visual and voice contact with other employees
• Inspect the work area before and during each shift for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids
• Be ready to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time.
• Do not leave the job site unattended while work is being done; if you must leave, ensure coverage is maintained
• Perform general labor and janitorial duties, such as sweeping and wiping down railings and equipment, without interfering with Fire Watch/Hole Watch duties
• Maintain a clean-shaven appearance
• Follow directions from the Lead and adhere to task instructions and break schedules

• Ability to work in foul-smelling conditions
• Not afraid of heights
• Background Check required
