Summary:
The Electrical Dispatcher is responsible for managing customer expectations and coordinating electrician schedules. They receive and handle service calls, schedule, and dispatch electricians and vehicles, maintain records and schedules, monitor resources, and communicate assignments via phone or text. Additionally, they compile statistics and generate reports to track work progress.
Salary Range: $25-$30 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible). Key Responsibilities:
Ensure, follow, and promote Company safety and quality protocols
Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
Data Entry: Input service calls and generate work orders.
Dispatch: Schedule or dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or vehicles as per customer requests and specifications.
Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
Timesheet Processing: Collect and correct data for workers’ timesheets.
Other Duties: Undertake projects and perform tasks as assigned
Back up other dispatchers as needed.
Relationships:
Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts, including shop and field craft personnel.
Foster positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.
Experience / Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in computerized dispatching, managing multiple employees and locations daily.
Relevant industry experience in fields such as Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, or Commercial services.
Experience in Customer Service.
Experience handling high volume, multi-line phone systems.
Proficient in database management, including the use of dispatch software for data entry, record retrieval, and report generation.
Above average proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred: Experience with Build Ops

Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet team and project goals.
Physical Requirements: This office position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Candidates must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching are necessary. The role also requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling office equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
