Facility: HospitalJob Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echocardiography Technician to join our dynamic cardiology team. As an essential member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart) to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in echocardiography to contribute to the well-being of our patients while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic echocardiograms, including transthoracic and transesophageal procedures, to assist in diagnosing heart conditions.
Prepare and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring that it is operating properly.
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic results.
Document patient information and procedure details accurately, following HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during testing.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all ethical guidelines.
Assist with patient education, providing clear explanations of procedures.
Stay current with echocardiography advancements and best practices.
Assist in scheduling and managing patient appointments.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Echocardiography program.
Certification: Current certification in Echocardiography
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Echocardiography Technician in a clinical or hospital setting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of echocardiography equipment and related software.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate readings and documentation.
Licensing: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
