A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to external hires for this position based upon management approval.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Understands accepted troubleshooting guidelines for PLC, control valves and all PLC logic.
Possesses overall knowledge of the installation, operation, repair, of assigned equipment.
Maintains sufficient inventory of electrical supplies and repair parts to meet most emergency situations.
Takes care of company vehicle, keeping it clean and organized.
Reports any unsafe practices or actions to supervisor.
Continues to look for better and more efficient ways of doing job.
Keeps lines of communication open to supervisor and other company employees while meeting the needs of all customers.
Makes call outs on equipment.
Works with project managers, engineering and contractors on all new construction projects.
Maintains all controls, monitor alarms and sensor tests.
Troubleshoots and schedules electrical maintenance for the assigned location.
Solid understanding of electrical motor control.
Knowledge of electrical prints and capable of making appropriate red-line changes to them.
Assists PLC programming personnel.
Good understanding of PLC cause and effect.
Supervises electrical contractors.
Other duties as assigned.

Position will be located in Mc Gregor, ND and may be filled at various levels depending on experience and job skills of successful candidate.

Position Requirements

Education and/or experience:
o High school degree or equivalent.
o General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations.
o Journeyman electrician.

Qualifications:

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Customer orientation.
Ability to effectively present information in a one–on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
Apply common sense understanding to carry out day-to-day operation issues.
Ability to make quick and reasonable decisions in sometimes-adverse conditions.

Certificates, licenses, registrations:

Valid operating license with acceptable driving record.

Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs., and applies up to 150 foot pounds of torque.
Regularly gets into and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads.
Walks an average of 5 miles per day, up to 7 miles per day.
Candidates may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Subject to overtime and call-outs.

Works mostly outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment.
Required to climb about equipment and work in confined areas (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels).

Wears safety equipment as required.
