Director of Rehab- The Center for Nursing and Rehab at Hoosick Falls
We are looking for a FULL-TIME Director of Rehab for our in-house rehab program at The Center for Nursing and Rehab at Hoosick Falls! (Must be a PT, PTA, OT, COTA or SLP) We have been serving the needs of Hoosick Falls and the surrounding communities for over 100 years. Job Summary: The DOR must demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the role of rehabilitation for all therapy disciplines. They will review all relevant data and utilize clinical judgement to ensure appropriate delivery of therapy care to maximize outcomes and meet desired goals at discharge. The DOR will also participate in facility and company meetings, while adhering to established confidentiality standards and ensuring staff understand and are compliant with the Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations related to therapy service delivery. Finally, they will provide a safe environment to utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions, and standards for the healthcare professional. DOR Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and organization of all departmental paperwork, including conducting documentation audits
Plans accordingly and coordinates schedules to achieve maximum efficiency staff based on clinical needs and treatment activity of staff members
Works pro-actively to build, manage, and schedule PRN pool, as needed
Establish and promote clinical programs/enhancement as indicated
Develop professional working relationships with staff, facility team members, residents, and resident family members
Prompt preparation and delivery of any regular or ad hoc reports; as well as the ability to analyze, interpret, and achieve budget expectations on a consistent basis
DOR Skills:
Previous leadership experience preferred
SNF/Long term care experience preferred
Current knowledge of treatment practices
Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
Required licensure:
Current Therapy License ( OT, COTA, PT, PTA or SLP) in the State of New York, in good standing
