Director of Food Operations Location: Nashville, TN (On-site) About Us: We’re two scrappy guys on a mission to bring healthy, convenient, and nutrient-dense food options to those who prioritize performance and longevity. With a foundation rooted in quality, organic ingredients, and a commitment to efficiency, we're looking to scale our operations to meet demand and looking for someone to join us and lead to charge to build our first organic food production facility in Nashville. The Role: We’re looking for an operationally minded Director of Food Operations with a passion for precision, process optimization, and problem-solving. This role is critical as we scale up our in-house production capabilities and manage a network of suppliers and vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll be driving our operations with a hands-on approach and diving deep into details to refine processes, manage supply chains, and optimize margins. What You'll Do:
Build and oversee the setup of our new production facility
Manage vendor negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that support our quality and cost objectives
Optimize margins across all operational activities, with a data-driven approach to cost-saving and efficiency
Develop and maintain a streamlined inventory and supply chain management system
Maintain high standards for food safety and quality, aligning with regulations and best practices for organic production.
Leverage your expertise in Google Sheets to track, analyze, and report on operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in food operations, production management, or a similar role
Experience with dry filling, blending, VFFS and/or HFFS machines
Strong foundation in math and analytics, with advanced skills in Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
A detail-oriented mindset with a knack for creating backup plans, mitigating risks, which keeping things simple
Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing supply chain logistics
A team player that’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves who is local to Nashville
