Provide the best patient experience Job Summary:As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the face of our dental practice, responsible for ensuring an excellent patient experience from check-in to check-out. You will handle various administrative tasks, coordinate patient appointments, and assist with billing and insurance processes. Key Responsibilities: Greet and Welcome Patients: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all patients as they arrive at the office. Ensure they feel comfortable and valued. Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and confirm patient appointments, taking into consideration their preferences and the dentist's availability. Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records, including personal information, medical history, and insurance details. Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times. Billing and Insurance: Assist patients with billing inquiries, process insurance claims, and collect payments at the time of service. Answering Phones: Handle phone calls professionally, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling requests, and providing necessary information. Check-In and Check-Out: Check patients in upon arrival, verify insurance information, and ensure they complete necessary forms. Process check-out by scheduling follow-up appointments and collecting payments. Patient Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls. Office Organization: Keep the reception area clean and organized. Ensure that all necessary forms and supplies are readily available. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and address any urgent patient needs. Billing and collection. Call on outstanding patient bills and make payment arrangements. Qualifications:
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a MUST.
Proficiency in dental practice management software Dentrix is a MUST.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of dental billing procedures and insurance protocols.
Knowledge of Insurance co-pays and verification.
Knowledge of In-Network / Out-of-Network / Fee-for-Service.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Friendly, empathetic, and a positive attitude.
