Data Governance Analyst

TITLE: Data Governance Analyst (6-Month Contract)
LOCATION: Remote
PAY: Target pay for this role is $50 - $70 per hour but may vary based on experience
ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract, 6 months

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for leading data quality and governance initiatives across the organization. You will consult with stakeholders to create data quality requirements and guardrails, establish and monitor data quality metrics, and provide expertise in data policies and metadata management. Your role will also involve translating regulatory requirements into data policies, ensuring compliance with data privacy controls, and driving culture change in data management practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Consult with stakeholders on data quality and governance requirements
Lead efforts to establish data quality metrics, monitoring, and reporting
Author data quality policies, auditable standards, and compliance processes
Manage the documentation of metadata and ensure compliance with data policies
Ensure data security and privacy controls are enforced in collaboration with the Security team
Serve as a liaison between business owners and data stewards, driving data governance best practices

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

5+ years of experience in data governance and data management implementations
Proven experience leading data governance, data quality, and stewardship programs
Strong knowledge of DAMA/DMBOK frameworks

Nice to Haves (Top 3+)

Experience with Collibra Data Governance tool
Expertise in data classification and metadata management
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into data policies and standards
