Job Description
Location: Oklahoma County
Salary: Up to $45,760.00 based on education and experience
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Primary Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM/ Flex schedule available upon review

The Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs is looking to fill a Data Entry Support and Youth Coordinator position. Positions in this job family are responsible for planning, developing, promoting and administering employment and training programs designed to assist communities in developing jobs and occupational training programs. This includes the monitoring of occupational training and employment programs for compliance with federal and state rules and regulations and agency policy.

Job Duties
  • Review raw assessment data completed by Behavioral Health Assessment Clinicians for accuracy.
  • Enter large amounts of current and historic confidential assessment data into a data tracking system.
  • Run reports and generate statistics comprised of assessment data for the agency as needed.
  • Ensure assessment data is generated and submitted by the Behavioral Health Assessment Clinicians in a timely manner.
  • Meet bi-weekly with Youth Emerging Leader (YEL) Chairs and support relationship building and mentoring of system involved youth.
  • Work closely with YEL subcommittee to ensure compliance with the Separation core mandate, ensuring OJA never falls out compliance again, while emphasizing compliance with the remaining core mandates of the OJJDP.
  • Work closely with key staff to ensure youth engagement along the juvenile justice continuum is improving.
  • Assist with strategy building and implementation of youth engagement activities.
  • Work closely with YEL and Law Enforcement strategy sites to make sure youth voice is being heard and considered in all SAG supported projects and guiding all system wide juvenile justice programming.

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to demanding and changing timelines.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while building strong relationships with all levels of staff and effectively collaborating, communicating, respecting, and assisting peers.

Level Descriptor
At this level employees are assigned routine duties and responsibilities. Employees will coordinate internal and external activities of the organization or program, respond to routine inquiries in both written and oral form, perform routine fiscal duties, and complete routine customer service requests from internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree or four years of technical clerical, data key entry, social human services, community outreach, administrative, secretarial, or general office work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with one year of education eligible to be substituted for one year of experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of spelling, punctuation, and business English; business mathematics; of modern office methods and procedures; the maintenance of complex records; and the major policies and procedures governing assigned programs. Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; perform confidential work and maintain confidentiality; interpret and complete routine matters according to agency policies and procedures; and follow oral and written instructions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position is computer based and set in an office environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach. Applicants must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license at time of appointment. Some agencies may have determined positions in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8. Applicants must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position.

Telework: Not all positions will be eligible for telework. This position telework availability subject to OJA policy and supervisor’s discretion.
