Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee all phases of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to plan. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of the construction process while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Reports to: VP of Operations
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee the entire construction project from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Coordination: Work with subcontractors, labor crews, and other teams to ensure the project stays on track.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work is executed according to project specifications and high-quality standards.
- Safety Oversight: Maintain safety protocols on the job site, perform safety checks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and progress reports.
- Staff Supervision: Manage on-site personnel, including participating in hiring decisions and performance reviews.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and management of construction materials and equipment.
- Problem Solving: Address any delays, emergencies, or issues that arise during the construction process.
- Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or in Construction Technology preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead construction teams and manage multiple aspects of a construction site.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, write emails, and provide client updates.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle site challenges effectively.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualification:
- Certification in Construction Safety or Project Management.
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects.
- Active General contractor’s License with the state of Utah.
- LEED Accreditation for sustainable construction projects
- Experience working in food and beverage manufacturing sites specific to construction and projects.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, or other site structures as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds.
