The unit is also responsible for tracking, documenting, and maintaining all identified roadway asset data for use in meeting reporting requirements including, but not limited to: the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS). This data supports various critical Department functions including asset management, project prioritization and coordination, financial tracking, funding eligibility, safety analysis, Federal and State reporting requirements, and performance management, among others.
The position requires working collaboratively with unit and office staff, and with other offices within the Department of Transportation, as well as public entities to collect, model, enhance, analyze, report, and expand the Roadway Inventory features and assets contained within the network.

These positions will assist in meeting all Federal requirements outlined in FHWA’s All Roads Network of Linear Referenced Data (ARNOLD), Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS), and Model Inventory of Roadway Elements (MIRE) initiatives.
