Coffee Bar Manager

Summary:
As the Manager of Java Grande Coffee & Craft Cocktails, you will oversee and manage all areas of the business, making key decisions that impact daily operations. You will drive financial performance by managing expenses effectively and identifying ways to increase profitability, while also focusing on building relationships with new guests and strengthening connections with regulars.
You will ensure excellent guest service in every area, promptly addressing and resolving any complaints regarding service or food quality to turn dissatisfied customers into loyal patrons. As the face of the business, you will be the point of recognition for guests and ensure that they can count on your leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain staffing levels by interviewing, hiring, and assessing candidates’ qualifications and experience.

Manage employee discipline, training, and development, providing ongoing feedback and conducting performance reviews.

Oversee daily shifts, scheduling, product quality, and cleanliness.

Complete administrative tasks, such as payroll and financial duties, accurately and on time, in line with company policies.

Ensure proper safety procedures, report employee or guest accidents, and enforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance.

Maintain compliance with health regulations and local/federal laws.

Consistently uphold high-quality service and food standards to increase sales and reduce costs.

Communicate key issues to ownership and take direct action when necessary.

Perform other duties as required to ensure smooth business operations.

Qualifications:

Previous years of experience managing a restaurant, coffee shop, bar, or a similar establishment.

Proven track record of leading teams and providing clear direction on operational and procedural matters.

Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets, payroll, and operational costs.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve guest complaints and maintain positive relationships.

Experience in hiring, training, and developing staff, with a focus on performance improvement and growth.

Knowledge of food safety regulations, health standards, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
