CLT - Dog Trainer

Join our team at Skiptown as a Dog Trainer and play a vital role in enriching the lives of pets and their owners through positive reinforcement-based training. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting group classes, training sessions, addressing behavioral issues, and fostering a positive learning environment for both dogs and their owners.

The ideal Dog Trainer candidate has…

Previous experience as a dog trainer
A passion for working with dogs and a commitment to positive reinforcement training methods
Availability for a full-time schedule, Sunday and Tuesday required

What you'll do:

Conduct individual and on-leash group training sessions for dogs of varying ages and breeds
Evaluate and address behavioral issues using positive reinforcement techniques
Educate pet owners on effective training methods and techniques
Stay updated on the latest training trends and methodologies
Ensure a safe and positive training environment for both dogs and owners
Facilitate intermediate training classes and above
Ability to create individualized training programs based on client needs

What you'll bring:

Positive reinforcement training background
CPDT-KA Training Certification preferred or minimum of 100 hours training experience
