Overview:
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Director, Clinical Services, reporting to Vice President of Clinical Services to provide operational and clinical oversight throughout areas of assigned responsibility. Facilitates strategic initiatives including budget, human resource initiatives, supply initiatives, space planning and other initiatives maintaining a team focused approach. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to Quality. Collaborates with all members of the team to achieve goals. Analyzes and utilizes outcomes data to drive performance improvement and quality improvement efforts in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Fosters a team approach to shared responsibilities, while functioning independently as needed in all aspects of the work area.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

5 years of progressive management experience in clinical services. Expert clinical knowledge of unit’s patient population. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. Previous supervisory and fiscal management experience preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Master’s degree is required in nursing, healthcare, business administration or related field. Valid RN license issued by the state of California, American Hearet Associaiton CPR and PALS Certification. National Certification required.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
