The Company's affiliated dental practices provide comprehensive general, specialty, and cosmetic dental care to over 75,000 patients annually. This position will report to the Director of Revenue Cycle. The Centralized Billing Manager serves as the key administrative leader in the department and is responsible for creating a team-based, accountable and enjoyable environment for the staff as well as a comfortable and high-quality experience for the patients. The candidate should be a self-starter, energetic, have an excellent work ethic, and be able to operate independently. They should also have a sense of humor and great interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the onshore and offshore centralized billing office, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and payment posting.
Supervise a team of billing specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality work and productivity.
Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and workflows to streamline billing processes, improve efficiency, and minimize errors.
Monitor billing performance metrics and identify areas for improvement within the billing cycle.
Coordinate with operations and finance team to ensure timely billing of services rendered.
Oversee the preparation and submission of claims
Manage relationships with insurance companies and collection agencies to resolve billing issues and denials.
Conduct regular audits of billing records and collections to ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures.
Assist in developing and delivering training programs for billing staff on billing processes, compliance requirements, and dental industry updates.
Prepare and present financial reports and performance metrics to senior staff.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in dental billing and revenue cycle management.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the centralized billing office.
Skills & Qualifications
Energetic leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills; empathetic to team members and patients
Dental or other healthcare billing experience required
Demonstrated history of supporting patient or customer excellence and building successful teams
3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or shift management role
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Willingness and ability to learn quickly
Experience with financial reports or metrics preferred
Ability to continue to develop training programs as we continue to evolve.
