Carlson Environmental Consultants, PC (CEC) is a fast-growing company and is seeking a Closed Caption Television Technician. The objective of the job is to support our ongoing environmental efforts to help utilities, environmental and other companies. We are looking for a long-term employee in our Southern region to provide support to our existing Environmental Remediation Team, specifically in the North Carolina area.
We are seeking an individual willing to or already familiar with working with crawler cameras and assisting with VAC truck operations, and jetting in the Utility and Industrial Sector. This position does require travel in the NC area, manual labor, significant outdoor work, writing and communicating proficiently and effectively, working alone and being able to be a self-starter and motivator.

Founded in 2004 and with a staff of over 200 hard-working and dedicated employees, CEC personnel offer expertise on landfill gas, solid waste, and renewable energy projects. We offer comprehensive solid waste services in-house which allows us to be a “one-stop shop” and provide our clients with seamless service, clear responsibilities, and rapid project implementation. At CEC, our personnel have extensive field experience which allows us to offer our clients a practical approach to solving their problems that is often missing from other firms and minimizes our client’s time and money. With our 16+ years of successful projects, most of which are repeat clients; it is clearly evident that our no-nonsense approach continues to get projects completed on time, within budget, and with high client satisfaction.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate crawler cameras and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50lbs
- Wear OSHA Level D and required personal protective equipment and monitoring devices, preferable if you have higher level of OSHA training such as hazmat.
- Input, edit and interpret data collected in field and complete daily activity logs, checklists and forms in Excel, Word and various other online systems
- Ability to read blue prints and/or drawings for pipe and gas systems.
- Familiar with Win Cam Software is a plus.
- Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.)
- Use of and maintenance of Envirosight Camera Crawler System, Hydro Jetter, and Vac Truck
- Manual labor
- Walk long distances

- Travel
- Pipeline Assessment Certification Professional (PACP) from NASSCO
- High school diploma
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check
- Knowledge of Envirosight software and Camera Crawler Systems, Wincam Software, hydro jetting and vac truck remediation work.
- College degree, preferably, but not required.
- Experience working outdoors.
