We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities and those requiring assistance in their daily lives. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and support in various settings, including group homes and memory care facilities. Your commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) will be vital in promoting independence and dignity for those you serve.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space, ensuring a safe environment.
Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, adapting as necessary to meet individual needs.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can participate in social activities or appointments.
Respond promptly to client requests for assistance while maintaining professional boundaries.
Requirements
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a caregiving role is preferred.
Knowledge of CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; certification may be required.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols is essential.
Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment for clients.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others; patience is key in this role.
Previous experience in group home settings or memory care facilities is a plus but not mandatory.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
