Branch Manager Downingtown, PA The Branch Manager is responsible for the entire branch operations and profitability and this position is expected to be a working manager’s position. The Branch Manager will ensure all branch personnel provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with our customer base. The Branch Manager is vital member of our organization and we expect our Branch Managers to be accurate, accountable, enthusiastic, and a team player with great integrity, ethics, and passion. This individual must possess solid telephone and communication skills and be able to relate to a wide variety of personalities. Responsibilities: In addition to the responsibilities of the Counter Sales Representatives, the Branch Manager is responsible for the following:
Achieving the Branch Gross Profit Goal monthly, including all branch activities - order entry, receiving, stocking, pulling, shipping, and delivery when necessary.
Submit and conduct performance appraisals for each branch employee according to the Employee Handbook.
Maintain a minimum Branch Store Merchandising score of 9 out of 10.
Maintain the facility to promote safety, security, and efficiency including the opening and closing of the branch.
Create a positive environment for the customers and employees.
Coordinate the outside sales activities at the direction of the Director of Branch Operations (if the outside sales representatives are assigned to the branch)
Network and solicit new customers outside the branch.
Conduct monthly staff meetings with an agenda.
Conduct a minimum of 3 promotional counter days, branch marketing events, or customer training sessions.
Resolve all open orders within 30 days from the date of the arrival of the part (s).
Ensure accurate use and reporting of petty cash funds.
Ensure daily deposits are made to the bank and an accurate report is processed and submitted to accounting each day.
Acquire cost effective supplies, material, and approved equipment to maintain a smooth operation.
Process all warranties and credits daily.
Ensure an accurate and adequate inventory to maintain a high fill rate level and coordinate the annual inventory activity.
Participate in our Long Range Planning process when required.
Hire and fire branch personnel when required and approved by upper management along with accurate and proper documentation.
Schedule branch personnel to cover our hours of operation and minimize the use of overtime.
Inform upper management of any change in the market place regarding product offerings, competitor pricing and other programs that will have an impact on our business (either positive or negative).
Resolve all customer issues timely with tact and diplomacy while supporting the company’s policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required with some experience and understanding of the sales process is a plus
Customer Service experience
Be able to accurately read and process part numbers
Ability to work Saturdays as scheduled
Computer/key board skills and some proficiency in the use of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point
A Clean driving record may be required for potential customer deliveries and banking activities
Self-starter, motivated, team focused, and results driven
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs and move up to 250lbs utilizing our warehouse equipment
