Bowling Center Tech/mechanical assistant
OVERVIEW
Shore Lanes Bowling Center is looking for a candidate to be a technical assistant on the team by helping facility operations.
40 lanes of bowling with a full kitchen, bar & lounge and game room as well as an outdoor summer venue. Helping league bowlers and open bowlers have an enjoyable experience. Renting lanes to patrons, helping them with their group events and overseeing shift operations.
We are open evenings during the week & all day on the weekends. We are looking for someone who enjoys a fast paced work environment and can work well in high pace pressure situations. Accountability is key.
Day to Day:
Give warm welcomes
Promptly communicate any pinspotter/pinsetter malfunctions and log these issues Communicate with the guests. Be available to assist our guests with some very basic bowling instruction. Explain rules, policies and proper etiquette
Tech: You should be able to handle basic trouble shooting problems, rebooting computers, basic mechanical glitches. Cleaning and maintenance of machines is required during the season. All training of the pinsetters will be given on sight.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks. Write down technical issues that could not be solved.
You should have a strong mechanical or technical IQ! You know how to read customers and provide them with what they need (sometimes before they know they need it).
Show up on time and can communicate with other managers.
Assist in developing a qualified staff.
Project a positive image of the organization to employees and help maintain morale.
Works well with others, agreeable, honest and able to delegate tasks effectively
