AUTOBODY TECH / AUTO PAINTER (IMMEDIATE OPENING)

Overview
CARSTAR Hudson Collision Center Inc. is a new and growing Automotive Collision repair facility with an IMMEDIATE opening for a full time Auto Body Technician / Auto Body Painter.

Responsibilities

Disassembling and assembling of vehicle
Auto Body repairs
Paint Prep and Painting of damaged panels.

Searching for a reliable body tech / auto painter, who can work efficiently to blend colors as well as prep and paint cars. Must be able to communicate and do HIGH QUALITY WORK on a timely basis. Looking for a tech with a minimum of 3 years experience, willing to learn and is self-motivated.
Skills
Tech must know how to disassemble and replace damaged body parts using hand and air tools, grind or weld where needed, apply body filler, sand, surface prep, tape and mask off panels for overspray. Painters must know how to color sand, buff, blend, polish and mix and apply primer, basecoat and clear coats using our state-of-the-art PPG paint system.
Having a resume is a PLUS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Tech should be able to bend, kneel, squat, pull, reach and sand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to wear a respirator safely and use PPE as needed. Lifting of heavy body parts as required.
Minimum Previous work experience 3-5 years in auto body shops required.
MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TOOLS, MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
COMPENSATION: Right pay for the Right person, salary is competitive, based on work experience.
