About the Role: As an Audit & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company complies with all safety regulations and standards. You will be expected to conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and develop and implement safety policies and procedures. Your work will be critical in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and customers. Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Industrial or trade school graduation or certification is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards is required. Will be allowed to complete the training on the job.
Workers Compensation knowledge and work experience preferred.
Possession of valid Ohio driver’s license. Ability to meet driving standards and travel to sites throughout Licking and Knox Counties. Travel 50%. Company car provided.
Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and Ohio Department of Motor Vehicle laws and regulations.
Pass background and drug screen.
Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point, etc.
Ability to inspect facilities and equipment for needed maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Train employees on safety procedures and protocols.
Administrative duties include detailed record keeping, one-on-one employee engagement, preparation for CARF certification.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and develop corrective actions.
Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure that safety is a top priority throughout the organization.
