The Associate Construction Analyst (ACA) assists in the development, review, and coordination of the Five-Year-Major Capital Outlay Plan and annual Minor Special Repairs (SR), and Deferred Maintenance (DM) Projects submissions for Developmental Centers (DC) and State-operated Community Facility (CF). Prepare Capital Outlay Budget Change Proposals, Finance Letters and various documents required to access funds for projects. Prepare allocations for SRs and maintain tracking database for accounting, budgeting purposes. Ensures the Department adheres to all contracting rules, regulations, and laws. Advise, make recommendations, and answer requests for information from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), DC/CF staff, Legislature, public, and other agencies regarding the status of projects. Assist in the coordination of all phases of design and construction with consultants and staff from various State agencies.
This position is eligible to participate in DDS’ hybrid telework schedule. Participation in telework is subject to DDS’ guidelines.

The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The DDS is located in a modern, sustainable and innovative office building at 1215 “O” Street, Sacramento, California. Some amenities of the building include:
