The Accounts Payable General Cashier is responsible for processing and maintaining financial transactions, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing within the hotel's accounting department. Key Responsibilities: Benefits:

Financial Processing
Process all vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in accordance with hotel policies
Verify accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents
Match invoices to appropriate supporting documentation
Enter and code invoices into the hotel's accounting system
Process employee expense reports and reimbursements
Maintain vendor files and documentation
Self-Starter who can work independently
Cash Management
Handle daily cash transactions and maintain cash drawers
Process guest payments and refunds
Reconcile daily cash receipts
Prepare bank deposits
Monitor and record petty cash transactions
Process cash advances for departments as authorized
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily cash reports
Assist in month-end closing procedures
Maintain organized files of all financial documents
Generate vendor payment reports as requested
Document standard operating procedures for cash handling
Compliance & Control
Follow internal control procedures for cash handling
Comply with hotel security measures for financial transactions
Adhere to hotel policies regarding payment authorization levels
Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or cash handling
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, 10 Key
Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS)
Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Hilton Universal City Hotel standards.
