The Accounting Assistant/File Clerk will be responsible for maintaining organized financial records and providing assistance in various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting function.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
Basic understanding of accounting processes.
Excellent organizational and file maintenance skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in document handling.
Document sorting and filing.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to lift and carry boxes of documents as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
Sort and categorize documents based on predetermined criteria.
File documents in an organized and accessible manner, both electronically and in physical filing systems.
Support bank reconciliation processes by organizing and filing bank statements and related documentation.
Provide support during internal and external audits by retrieving requested documents and information.
Work collaboratively with the accounting team to ensure seamless and efficient financial operations.
