Caliber Public Schools is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join the Elevate Teacher Residency. This innovative, one-year program is designed for aspiring educators seeking to pursue a California teaching credential while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic learning environment. Residents will work alongside an experienced mentor teacher, engage in professional learning with a cohort of peers, and contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging classroom culture committed to student success.
Responsibilities:
Co-teach 4-5 days a week alongside a mentor teacher, including planning and implementing engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
Work with individual, small groups and whole class groups of students to provide differentiated support and create a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to assess student progress and implement interventions as needed.
Participate in professional development with a cohort of peers.
Engage with families and the community to foster strong relationships that support student success.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $25/hour (Approx. $40,000/year)

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree by May 2025
Minimum 3.0 GPA (lower GPA considered with exemption letter)
Authorization to work in the U.S.
TB clearance and fingerprint clearance
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a classroom setting or educational program is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and students.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
Willingness to engage in continuous professional learning throughout the residency year.
