Opportunity: Yard Operative Contract: Permanent Location: Lisburn Hours: 40 Hours (Monday – Friday) The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. Ensuring that all equipment due to leave site for hire is compliant, serviced, and clean prior to leaving/loading.
Ensuring that all forklift trucks/equipment are stored and controlled onsite ensuring space is maximised without compromising Health and Safety or employees and reducing risk of damage to equipment or property.
Rotation of all equipment onsite.
Liaising with Short-Term Hire/Service Engineers to ensure that all equipment leaving site for hire has a Pre-Hire Inspection completed and tag applied.
Ensuring all equipment is booked in and out from off site on the Briggs system
Completing visual inspection of Short-Term Hire return equipment to ensure that any damage is captured swiftly.
What will help you to excel in this role:
Drivers licence (essential)
Forklift truck/powered access machinery licence (desirable not essential)
Safe pass desirable
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent customer service skills
