The Award Winning Cocktail Bar at The Merchant Hotel has the following vacancy:

Cocktail Bar Waiting Staff

We have a full time role available, this is hourly paid at £11.44 and includes a generous service charge.

A full time member of staff could expect to earn on average an additional £100-£150 per week through service charge paid weekly through payroll.

The essential criteria for the position are:

• One year’s experience in a similar role
• Cash handling experience
• A knowledge of spirits and cocktails
• Confident and comfortable working in a demanding high volume environment
• A keen eye for detail
• Exceptional customer care skills
• The ability to anticipate guest needs and offer the genuine warmth of the “Merchant Welcome”
• Fully flexible to work, days evenings and weekend shifts

The desirable criteria for this position is:

• Experience working within a five star setting
• Barista experience

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a cool head and the ability to work collaboratively with others towards our team goals.

The successful candidate will have a full knowledge of all items on the menus and be responsible for taking orders promptly and efficiently.
