Successful Applicant would have supervision responsibilities of Junior Trainees at Core and Foundation Levels.Assessment of patients referred as emergencies and treatment planning in consultation with the responsible consultant. Elective and emergency operating and assisting, with independent operating appropriate to level of experience. Outpatient clinics. Administrative and other clinical duties as required for the post.

Active participation and contribution to audit, research and continuous professional development.Active participation and contribution to teaching and learning.Teaching presentations by trainees and consultants, visiting speakers, research updates, morbidity and mortality reviews, combined (plastic and orthopaedic surgery) meetings.
