This is a career-graded role, where you will have the opportunity to progress to a Senior Trading Standards Officer.
Salary: £33,945 to £36,648 per annum, progressing to, £37,336 to £40,221 per annum once you develop to a Senior Trading Standards Officer. Working pattern: 37 hours per week, with flexible working agreements. Contract: 2x Permanent positions. Location: Horsham, with the need to travel around the county, you will be able to use a pool car for your travels. You will also have the opportunity to work from home, depending on the service needs. Employer Pension Contribution: 19.70% this alters per annum on the 1 April each year. Annual leave: 27 days holiday + Bank holidays = 35 days. We want to develop a committed Trading Standards Officer. We want you to achieve your full potential and empower you to ascend into a Senior position. You will have the opportunity to do a wide range of functions including Food Standards, Feed Hygiene, Animal Health and Welfare, Fair Trading, Consumer Advice, Product Safety, Door Step Crime, Under Age Sales of Restricted products and Counterfeiting. Gaining vast experience will allow you to set up a progressive career. As an operational officer you will be asked to conduct interventions with businesses to ascertain regulatory compliance and to act as an investigating officer, including more complex cases appropriate to your higher level of experience.
