Key responsibilities
Even application of primers, paints, and coatings to parts and components, avoiding over spraying/coating.
Complete quality checks in line with company processes; visually inspect work for pinholes, runs, bare spots, proper coverage and refinish as required.
Mix paint to the correct ratios as instructed in technical data sheets.
Correct use of air assisted and airless paint spray pumps.
Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.
Ensure optimum use of materials within your control to minimize scrap / wastage
Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement ideas
Essential
Experience spray painting large metal components
Experience in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing / industrial environment
Experience using and maintaining air-fed respiratory equipment
Experience mixing paint to the correct ratios as instructed in technical data sheets
Experience using air assisted and airless paint spray pumps
