We are currently recruiting for a full time Sewing Machinist to join our existing highly skilled Production Team at the Fivemiletown site.

The Job:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist in the sewing and manufacturing of garments
Work with flatbed sewing machines
Should have the ability to perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning the machine and changing needles and threads.
Have a keen eye for detail and use fault finding abilities to ensure all sewn products are completed to the clients specification, before being packed and dispatched.
Have the ability to work well under pressure as you will be required to work towards targets and deadlines.
To support overtime when the business requires it at busy times

Due to the nature of the work previous sewing experience is desirable, but NOT essential.

The Candidate:
Essential Criteria

4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics, Grade C or above
Excellent communication skills
Excellent planning/organising skills
Can work on own initiative
Can build relationships easily

Desirable Criteria

1 year experience in using a variety of sewing machines (single needle, overlock, automatic machinery.
1 year experience in sewing manufacturing environment
Awareness of different fabrics eg. knits, weaves
Awareness of garment construction
